“I have had the good fortune of seeing many grizzlies in the wild (one was from a precarious distance of three feet!) They are by far our greatest symbol of wild, unspoiled wilderness. Having been eliminated from most of their habitat in the continental US (and now protected) they can still be found in and around Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
