Sometimes the idea for a painting lies in the subtle line of the subject's posture. The Bengal tiger might just be the most beautiful cat on earth. With its sleek, muscular frame cloaked in an amber orange frame, striated by long, thin ebony stripes and the exquisite white underbelly would be the envy of every European fashion designer. The Bengal tiger is the super athlete of the Asian boreal forests but because of its very effective hunting skills it is able to fill part of each day with plenty of leisure time.
