The Lilac Breasted Roller is arguably the most beautiful bird in Africa. Its colors are a vibrant crimson, viridian, halo and cerulean blue with a dash of cobalt. It’s as if an artist designed them to showcase the best of the color palette. When they fly, they often move in a repetitive rolling pattern, and I wanted this painting to showcase that beauty will always rise about the rough and harness of life.
