The ivory from this bull arrived at the ivory sheds on the London docks and the buyer, it appears, donated these tusks to the London Museum of Natural History. The story is vague but the tusks are today on public display and they measure 226lbs \/ 10′ 2″ on the right and 214lbs \/ 10′ 5″ on the left. After agricultural college in South Africa, he traveled to Europe and the United States, working as a cowboy in Nebraska and New Mexico before returning to Rhodesia in 1966 to ranch.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTolmay began guiding African hunting safaris in 1974, an experience that gave him an intimate understanding of wildlife, movement, and anatomy - knowledge that would later become fundamental to his work as a sculptor.
