***World Lion Day****

🦁I have always said the day I leave this earth, there will be a lion on my easel.  I join the world in celebrating #worldlionday and honoring this beast that is magnificent in every way and I never doubt that I was put on this earth to tell their story.  Watching wild lions over the last several decades has stirred within me an overwhelming fascination and wonder.  This past year I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to share a collection of some of my favorite works centering around the lions.  Combining the release of my new book KING OF BEASTS: A Study of the African Lion  and a traveling museum exhibition by the same title at both the Nevada Museum of Art and the Witte Museum I have paid homage to this beast.  I hope that the thousands of visitors that have viewed the exhibition come away with a better understanding of this “King of Beasts”, for we will only save what we know.🦁

We are proud to partner with the Wildlife Conservation Society in honor of World Lion Day 2020. John Banovich and the Banovich Wildscapes Foundation will donate 30% of sales of these pieces created by John Banovich to the Wildlife Conservation Society’s lion conservation projects.
